Six Sentence Sunday

I hope everyone is enjoying their holiday weekend, and don't forget to take the time to stop and remember why there is a need for Memorial Day.

And now, to lighten things up a little, here's this week's six. We're still following James and Rebecca from A Perfect Lady.

He was a sea captain. From America. It all came back as she gazed up at him. He was an accomplished dancer, and when he kissed her in the shadows of the unoccupied sewing room, the bit of champagne she’d imbibed scorched her brain. Apparently it seared the part of her brain that controlled common sense, as that one kiss led to this…
“Y-yes. I’m very certain.” She bit down hard on her bottom lip as his long-fingered hand swept over her cheek.

Thanks so much to everyone who's been kind enough to comment on this project. I'm glad everyone seems to be enjoying it!

Don't forget to check out all the other terrific six at the official Six-Sentence Sunday site right here!  And if you want to join in the fun, it's easy to do! Here's how it works:

1.Sign up at the Six-Sentence Sunday blog.

2. Pick six sentences from any work you've written - it can be a WIP, an unpublished manuscript, a latest release, or a work under contract.

3. Post those six sentences on your blog by 9AM on Sunday.

That's all there is to it!

ETA: Please excuse the wonky formatting of this six. Blogger's being a pain. :-) It won't let me fix it. **kicks Blogger**

What a teaser! I had to go back and read your previous six to find out what Rebecca was so certain of. Good story.

Guess we can guess where things are headed. Right into the parson's mousetrap if they get caught
