VOTE NO ON SOPA & PIPA

The single most important amendment to the US Constitution is the first one, which protects freedom of speech. That amendment is being threatened by the introduction of the Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) and the Protect IP Act (PIPA). Congress is set to vote on these bills on January 24th, and if they pass, websites all around the world will go dark. They will be censored. They will be silent.

You can read more about SOPA and PIPA here. You can help keep this from happening by contacting YOUR representatives to tell them how terrible passage of these two bills would be.

Many websites have gone dark today in protest of these bills. Google, Wikipedia, and Wordpress are several. There are online petitions you can sign.

So if you value the freedom of speech and despise even the idea of censorship, let your representative know it. Tell them to VOTE NO on SOPA/PIPA.
