Second Edits and Thank You!

And they're off!

My second edits to my editor, that is. Yep - despite the lunacy that's been my life for the last two weeks, I managed to finish those edits and get them turned in. Hopefully I'll have a cover real soon! Woo hoo!

And I wanted to take the time to say thank you to those who offered up support and sympathy during the last two weeks. It's been quite the roller-coaster, as we still aren't 100% certain when my husband's going to be released from the hospital - the doctors have switched his antibiotics, but they haven't ruled out surgery just yet. Keep your fingers crossed. Right now, we just want him home. We miss him. Very, very much.

The Girl starts school tomorrow, which is good since it will take her mind off of what's been going on around here. But, she's also going to a new school, so she's a little nervous about it. I'd been saving this until I was closer to the big day, but what the hell! We're buying a house - woo hoo! It's at the northern end of the town where we already live, but it means a new school and new friends for the Girl. Fortunately, a few of her preschool friends go to the same school and at least one is in her class, so she'll see a familiar face - whew! Forty-three days until our closing and we've just come out of lawyer review, so keep your fingers crossed for that as well. I'm looking so forward to getting out of the townhouse and into a real house, with a real yard, a dining room, and a driveway! No more parking lots! No more hearing neighbors yell through the walls! I can't wait!
