Six Sentence Sunday

Good morning and Happy Easter! Today's six sentences are a little late - but better late that never, right?

Anyhoo - this is a snippet from my upcoming release from The Wild Rose Press. Devil in Disguise is a Regency-set historical, and the second in my Montgomery family series. In it, American Andie Sinclair is newly arrived in England as a lady's companion. What she hadn't counted on was meeting Gerard Montgomery, Viscount Bridgeton...

“There’s nothing to see.” She clutched her sore hand to her chest.
“Don’t be silly.” He caught her by the wrist again and pulled her hand toward him. “I can’t see if you don’t open your hand, miss,” he chided, using his free hand to peel her fingers open.
She did as she was told, biting her lip as he gently prodded the splinters.

Devil in Disguise will be released by The Wild Rose Press this coming June!
