Today's six come from the book I'm in the midst of writing. It's about halfway done and I'm about ready to kill the characters...
Ahem... So, without any further ado, please meet James McKenzie and Rebecca Alexander - who have known each other all of about 5 minutes before they fall into bed together.
There was a fine line between daring and stupid, and as Rebecca stared in horror at the man lying beside her, she realized she crossed it.Pain slashed through her temples as she leaped up from the bed, and promptly stumbled over one of his boots. Her ankle twisted sharply, but she ignored it as she tried to will her eyes into seeing in the still-dark room. What time was it? Had anyone noticed her absence? And where the bloody hell was her chemise?
Want to read some other great six-sentences? Of course you do, so you'd best pop on over to Six-Sentence Sunday and go check out some great snippets!
ETA: I probably should have mentioned, this is from my upcoming historical release from Aspen Mountain Press/Aurora Regency Historicals. It's due out this fall! :D

I think someone's having regrets..!
ooh nice! Would love to see the next scene :-)
you really showed her panic. nicely done
Great! Is this historical? If so, terrific. Don't usually get this in historicals. Looking forward to more.
Uh-oh! Someone's regretting her hanky panky, lol!
uh-oh...fine line being crossed. Sounds like she's having regrets, big time! And stupid boots getting in her way, how dare they. Love it, can really feel her panic to get the heck out there. Nice six :)
Uh oh! Maybe fond memories will wash away those regrets. :) Nicely done! And congrats on your upcoming release.
LOL I love it. Great job.
Best,
Allure
Sounds like she wants out of there fast. I hope she makes it without hurting herself anymore. Nice six! :)
All that falling is going to wake him and probably impede her escape...
Uh oh, the morning after! Great six!
Whoops! This is one of those, "I won't tell Daddy if you don't," situations. Fun six!
Chemise. I love that word. So romantic. Will she find it and escape before James awakes?
All she cared about was her chemise. Sounds like she should have been worried about a few more things.
Uh-oh! I'm curious to see how she'll work her way out of this, and if mystery man will wake up and do something/anything! Good one, Kim.
Love this! Where the bloody hell IS her chemise? lol. Great six :)
Way to set up a scene and tickle the reader's fancy. I want more. I want to see if she finds her chemise. :)
Thanks, everyone for all the comments! This book has been giving me such a pain it isn't even funny, so it's great to see such positive response!
